    About the Program

    *Qualified applicants with a GPA of 3.5 and above will automatically be reviewed for a $1,500 scholarship.

    Discover world-class education at the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), a premier research-driven institute located in the vibrant port city of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.     This immersive summer experience is ideal for students passionate about energy, sustainability, and technology. Students will engage with emerging topics in the energy sector, explore interdisciplinary approaches, and be part of a vibrant academic community committed to innovation and excellence.

     

    When not in the lab or classroom, students will discover the charm of Visakhapatnam (Vizag), a dynamic port city on the Bay of Bengal known for its scenic beaches, historic landmarks, and rich maritime heritage. Students can visit iconic sites like the Kursura Submarine Museum, the Kali Temple, as well as the shores of Ramakrishna Beach

    Additional Information Faculty-Led study abroad programs may require group travel. Please reach out to your IAP Coordinator prior to making any travel arrangements.

    Academic Policies

    • Credits earned on this program will calculate toward a student's GPA at Stony Brook University. Non-SBU students are advised to check their home university policy on grade and credit transfer.
    • Students following the Stony Brook Curriculum (SBC) may request for GLO and EXP+ in addition to requirements fulfilled by their coursework.
