The questions and answers below address some of the inquiries that we believe may be on your mind at this time. • Are the units within Student Community Development (Commuter Student Services and Off-Campus Living, Center for Civic Justice and Student Media/WUSB) still hosting events?
  Yes! We will continue to host events via virtual platforms, such as Zoom and Google Hangouts. All event information will be listed on SB Engaged.
• What will happen to my unused commuter meal plan funds?
  Per a message from Office of Administration and Finance on March 23, 2020: "Students living off-campus with meal plans will receive a refund or credit for the unused portion of their meal plans. Credits or refund approaches will be finalized as soon as possible. If you have a critical financial need, please contact the Financial Aid Office." Read full message from the University regarding financial impact of remote learning.
• How can I get advisement on off-campus living related matters?
  Commuter Student Services and Off-Campus Living is still fully operational, and eager to answer your questions about your search process, tenants rights, and more. We encourage you to first visit our website to see if the answers to your questions may be found there. If not, reach out to us at commuter_services@stonybrook.edu or at 631.632.7353. We will happily set up a video-chat, if that is preferred.
• What is a Commuter Assistant and how can I apply for one?
  Commuter Assistants are tight knit student leaders on campus, here to help you get acclimated to Stony Brook quickly and comfortably. You can lean on them to help you through your first year here at Stony Brook because they've been in your shoes and know where to point you when you need a little guidance.

• Are campus shuttle buses still running?
  Transportation and Parking Services have reduced shuttle services to Level C. Easing parking enforcement on West Campus, commuter students are encouraged to park in Residential Parking Zones. For more information, visit the Transportation and Parking website. Live GPS updates of campus shuttles can be seen on the DoubleMap app (system: "Stony Brook University".) Southampton shuttle service will be suspended until further notice.
• Radio is a great addition to a work/learn from home environment! How can I access the University's radio station, WUSB FM?
  Stony Brook University's campus radio station is a great source of news, simulcasts and entertainment. The station can be accessed in the listening area at 90.1FM or 107.3FM or streamed online anytime at wusb.fm
• How can I reach members of the Student Community Development Team?
  All professional staff members are available to you throughout the week during normal business hours via email or phone; virtual office hours are open throughout the week, as well. Come by to say hello!
• Is the Stony Brook University food pantry still available?
  The Stony Brook University Food Pantry will reopen on Tuesday, September 8. Our Food Pantry website will be updated with more information about hours of operation, our new location, and how to use our services closer to our reopening date.

• How can I vote in the Presidential & General Election on November 3, 2020?
  The Center for Civic Justice is here to support your voting needs. We want to make sure you are able to safely and successfully cast your ballot. We will support you to request an absentee ballot, register to vote, or answer any questions you might have. We provide support for all 50 U.S. States and all U.S. Territories.
