DISCLOSURE GUIDANCE 

NEW Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program Certification in Research.gov

Starting on June 7, 2025, in accordance with the NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) Chapter II.D.1.e(ii), all PIs or co-PIs named on an NSF award made on or after May 20, 2024, must certify annually in Research.gov that they are not party to a MFTRP.

Certification Process: PIs and co-PIs with affected awards will be prompted directly within Research.gov upon signing in. This is a direct certification by the individual, not requiring institutional action for submission.

Pre-Award and Post-Award 

NSF Pre-award and Post-award Disclosures Relating to the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Support Table

The table includes information for:

  • Biographical Sketch
  • Current and Pending Support
  • Facilities, Equipment and Other Resources
  • Project Reports 
  • Post-Award Information Term and Condition  
  • Disclosure Not Required

The table includes activities such as: 

  • Undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral training 
  • Academic, professional and institutional appointments
  • Projects - including pending and ongoing
  • In-kind contributions 
  • Consulting and other activities

Post-award Disclosure of Current Support and In-kind Contribution Information 

If an organization discovers that a PI or co-PI on an active NSF award failed to disclose current support or in-kind contribution information as part of the proposal submission process, the AOR must submit the information outlined in the article within 30 calendar days of the identification of the undisclosed current support or in-kind contribution.
