Flowing from her work as an Alda-certified instructor, Nancee’s special focus is on building online curricula for the Alda-Kavli Learning Center that explore new ways to create authentic engagement. Few things excite her more than fully embodied communication and she is thrilled to be able to help scientists connect to their passion, their bodies, and their audiences. Nancee graduated magna cum laude from Grand Valley State University with degrees in communication and writing. She completed her graduate work in dramaturgy at Stony Brook University and received the '17-'18 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching. Nancee is an honorary member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Nancee is a member of the Improv Team and spends her days teaching, coaching, and developing new curricula. She has helped the Alda Center to build out its online programs, finding ways to engage in a mediated format that recreate an in-person feel. In her evenings she can be often be found in the theatre, her home away from home, working with undergraduate students to bring truthful, meaningful storytelling to the stage.
