Carolyn Hall, based in New York City, is a marine ecologist and a professional contemporary dancer. She earned her M.S. in Marine Science from the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at Stony Brook University, NY, and works as an independent researcher and consultant on various projects. Currently she is an instructor of the Distilling Your Message course with the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, is part of a team of researchers working on the greater ecosystem of the Gulf of Maine under Dr. Adrian Jordaan of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is a research assistant to Paul Greenberg, author of NY Times Best Seller Four Fish and American Catch. As a dancer she has worked with numerous choreographers and companies both nationally and internationally and received a New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award for performance in 2002.
