Kavli Conversations: Technology and Its Discontents

The Carter Institute of Journalism at NYU presents a conversation about the ups and downs related to our use of technology. Special guests will include social media-focused author and principal Microsoft researcher Danah Boyd as well as Wall Street Journal columnist Christopher Mims. Along with her work at Microsoft, Danah Boyd is also a visiting professor at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. At the Wall Street Journal, Christopher Mims is a technology columnist and writes the “Keywords” column. He has also been the lead tech reporter for Quartz and has written about technology for a wide range of publications.
