Kavli Conversations: Finding the Humor in Science

October 13, 2016 — 6:30pm EDT

Please join the Carter Institute of Journalism at NYU for a conversation focusing on finding the humor in science. This Kavli Conversation, sponsored by the Science, Health and Reporting Program at NYU and the Kavli Foundation, will feature two special guests, Mary Roach and Randall Munroe. Mary Roach is the bestselling author of six books, including Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers and most recently Grunt: The Curious Science of Humans at War. Randall Munroe is the creator of the wildly popular xkcd webcomic. A former NASA roboticist, his most recent bestseller is Thing Explainer: Complicated Stuff in Simple Words. The Alda Center is a proud partner in bringing you this live broadcast.
