Paula Croxson, PhD

Paula Croxson is a neuroscientist, award-winning science communicator and storyteller. She is President at Stellate Communications, a strategic communications firm that sits at the intersection of science and everything it touches, and a senior producer and elected President of the Board of Directors for The Story Collider.
Paula has an M.A. from the University of Cambridge and a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. from the University of Oxford. She had a research career for over 15 years before shifting her career focus full-time to science communication. She was previously an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she still maintains an adjunct position, Director of Public Programs at Columbia University, and Director of the Dana Frontiers Program at the Dana Foundation. She is passionate about communicating complex concepts in meaningful and effective ways and fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. In her spare time, she is a musician and a long-distance open-water swimmer.
